Find the Qibla in seconds
Open the Qibla tab and turn your phone until the Kaaba sits in the center of the compass. That's the direction to face.
How to use it
Open the Qibla tab
It's the compass icon in the bottom bar of the app.
Hold your phone flat
Keep it level in front of you, screen facing up.
Turn until the Kaaba is centered
Rotate slowly. When the Kaaba is in the center, you're facing the Qibla.
What the compass needs
A compass sensor
Islam2Go uses your phone's built-in compass. If your phone doesn't have one, the app tells you.
Your location
Your location is used to work out the direction of Mecca from where you stand. Allow access when the app asks.
If the direction looks wrong
- Move away from metal objects, magnets and other electronics.
- Take your phone out of magnetic cases or car mounts.
- Check that location services are on in your phone's settings.
- If the app shows an error, fix what it describes and tap Retry.
